Chanting: Discovering Spirit in Sound
Chant is a spiritual practice that helps cultivate inner peace and brings us closer to the Divine. Chant brings harmony and joy into our busy lives, and has been demonstrated to evoke the relaxation response, lower blood pressure, and heighten mental clarity and creative expression.

Designed for beginners and experienced chanters, this experiential workshop explores the physical, emotional and spiritual transformative power of chant including:
•Freeing your voice: exercises designed to connect mind, heart and breath in a full and uninhibited expression of sound and song.
•Chanting from Hindu, Christian, Buddhist, Sufi, Jewish, Wiccan, and Native American traditions.
•Creating your own chants and sung prayers.
•Toning, meditation, and the mysticism of sound.
•Bringing chant and ritual into your daily life.

Come join the choir of countless seekers, mystics, and lovers of life, in every time and place, who have shared in sacred song.

Piercing the Veil: The Art of Ritual in Daily Life
Much of the personal meaning and power of ritual in our lives has been lost in our modern fast-paced world. We long for the experience of true communion with our deeper Selves, with the presence of Spirit, and with others. Ritual helps us to imbue the cycles of our lives, important transitions, even the simple moments of daily living, with meaning and a sense of the Sacred.

In this seminar, we will go beyond the veil in crafting and experiencing ritual together, exploring and harvesting the riches from our own traditions, while breaking new ground in the creation of our own unique forms. Drawing on a wide variety of tools including movement; sound and music; prayer; shamanic practices; writing and communion with nature, we will develop our capacity to craft the basic elements of ritual: The Setting of Intention; Invocation-creating Sacred Time and Space; Enactment-The Marriage of Form and Spontaneous Magic; Completion; and Integration.

This weekend will help you learn to create personal rituals for daily life as well as how to lead meaningful ceremony and celebration with others.
