This
site contains a shopping cart system that allows you to purchase products
online via a secure server. As of December 31, 1999, certain web browsers
will display error messages when performing secure transactions. This
is due to the systematic expiration of Periodic Root Certificates (click
here
to learn more about Certificates). There is a possibility that you may
experience problems when trying to make a secure transaction. If you
intend to purchase products on-line from this site or any other site,
we strongly reccomend that you upgrade to one of the following browsers.
Macintosh:
system requirements - MacOS 7.6.1 or later on a 68030 or greater or
PPC with 16Mb RAM
Netscape
Navigator & Communicator
4.0.5 and older (including 3.x browsers) should be upgraded.
click the browser you wish to download Netscape
Navigator 4.08 Netscape
Communicator 4.7
Internet
Explorer
requires version 4.5 in addition to Microsoft's security patch which
can be downloaded at http://www.microsoft.com/mac/iesecissue/.
If you are running a version of IE older than 4.5 you must first download
version
4.5.
PC:
system requirements - Windows 95 or later with 16Mb RAM
Netscape
Navigator & Communicator
4.0.5 and older (including 3.x browsers) should be upgraded.

Navigator 4.08 Netscape

Internet
Explorer
requires version 4.5or later in addition to Microsoft's security patch
which can be downloaded at http://www.microsoft.com/mac/iesecissue/.
If you are running a version of IE older than 4.5 you must first download
version
4.5. Internet Explorer version
5.0 does not require the patch.
UNIX:
system requirements - 64Mb for Netscape Navigator only
Possible
security error messages:
Netscape:
Certificate Authority Is Expired
www.springhillmedia.com is a site that uses encryption to protect transmitted
information. However, one of the Certificate Authorities that identifies
this site has expired.
Internet
Explorer
will not necessarily display a security certificate error message. Some
versions of Explorer will display a message box, specifically Internet
Explorer 4.01 for Macintosh. The message may read:
Unable to establish a secure connection to "www.springhillmedia.com."
There is a problem with the security certificate from that site (The
identity certificate has expired.) The information you view and send
will be readable to others while in transit, and it may not go to the
intended party. Continue loading this page?
For
PC, a message will probably not be displayed (esp. if win, 98), but
the user should still upgrade (or get the patch from ms.com) if using
IE 4.5 or older, especially if using windows 95.
IMPORTANT
NOTE:
this is NOT a Y2K bug. Coincidentally, midnight of December 31, 1999
is the time and day certain vendors have chosen for certain certificates
to expire.
