Eight-time NAMMY (Native American Music Awards) nominee, Golana´, acclaimed master of the Native American flute, returns with his sixth album of meditative, nature inspired music. Ten beautiful compositions, created in the rugged mountains of Southern California, Mirror Lake is a plaintive, heartfelt evocation of the majesty of nature.

Golana is a master of the Native American flute who has been making music for over a decade, and has racked up six NAMMY nominations in the process. One of the factors that makes his music so enjoyable is that his music has a lot of heart in it, not to mention a pervading sense of serenity. Both of those qualities are plentiful on MIRROR LAKE, which was inspired by the scenic mountainscapes of Southern California. Golana's flute is front and center on each of these compositions, with backing Charlie Bisharat on violin, David Chamberlin on keyboards, Cameron Stone on cello and Scott Hartley and Rodger Whitten on piano. The mix of Native influences and classical instrumentation gives the music a nice blend of elegance and earthiness that will take you to a place of tranquility.
