Margot Anand is an internationally acclaimed teacher of tantra, a pioneer in the movement to bring the ancient esoteric prectices of sexual ecstasy to a Western audience. She is the author of The Art of Sexual Ecstasy and The Art of Sexual Magic, which together have sold more than 200,000 copies. Her latest book, The Art of Everyday Ecstasy, expands the definition of ecstasy by demonstrating how to harness its energy to help live, work and love more passiontely and with true spiritual focus. A native of France, Anand received a graduate degree in psychology from the Sorbonne in Paris and has had extensive training in gestalt, tantra, yoga, bioenergetics, massage and meditation. She has studied around the world with many of the renowned spiritual masters and received her greatest inspiration from the grand mystic Osho in India. She has developed a unique system of sexual and spiritual practices that she calls “SkyDancing Tantra,” which combines elements from Tibetan Buddhist, Taoist and Hindu tantric teachings with humanistic and transpersonal psychology. Since Anand began teaching in the 1970s, hundreds of books, workshops and videos proclaiming tantra as a path to spiritual enlightenment and a better sex life have sprung up to meet burgeoning interest. All the while, Anand has remained perhaps the boldest and most popular voice on the subject. She has established SkyDancing Tantra Institutes in eight countries and certified close to a hundred people to teach her “Love and Ecstasy Training” programs. Over the past 25 years, Anand’s studies have evolved a method of healing and enhancing sexuality to its ultimate ecstatic potential. The system teaches that life is not about having more and better orgasms, but rather about being “orgasmic” or ecstatic in everyday life. In studying and teaching love and ecstasy, Anand has realized that the deepest longing of our age is for a style of life that brings contentment, joy, wholeness and, of course, ecstasy. Her style as a teacher and speaker is a rare synthesis of French humor, American pragmatism and Indian mysticism. She is particularly appreciated for her ability to bring healing, lightness, fun, passion and wisdom to her events. She has appeared on national television and radio and has spoken at conferences worldwide. Anand has been a fashion model in Paris, a movie actress in New York and a practitioner of the mystical arts of love. She also is a composer and musician, having arranged and performed on The Music of Everyday Ecstasy, a companion release to her book of the same title, and SkyDancing Tantra, which accompanies her best-selling book The Art of Sexual Ecstasy. Named by Magical Blend magazine as a Millenium Award recipient, Anand travels around the world speaking and teaching at conferences and events. |
